The Position 

The Small Project Salesperson role at Ohio Property Brothers offers unique opportunities within our company. The position requires a strong knowledge of the residential remodeling industry, strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to embrace technology. You will conduct phone and in-person screenings of customers to better understand their remodeling needs and guide them through our proven sales process. You will also be responsible for assisting a senior salesperson with their projects to better learn how you can sell larger projects. 

Responsibilities 

• Conduct phone screening to qualify customers during scheduled discovery calls, then set and attend in-home appointments 
• Visit homes to understand remodeling needs and take pictures with measurements
• Ask probing questions and provide feedback to the customer to help them with what they need 
• Assist in preparing accurate quotes using software while liaising with trade partners, vendors, and your team 
• Assist with detailed handoffs to project managers and trade partners for specialty items 
• Assist in preparing accurate permit packages and submissions to local building and zoning offices 
• Confidently present proposals, contracts, and work orders 
• Navigate a smooth transition through pre-sale or design handoff 
• Perform regular check-ins with trader partners, designer, project manager, and customers before, during, and after project completion 
• Help customers have a remarkable experience and lead them to leave a positive review 
• Participate in professional networking activities in and around the Columbus metro area

Qualifications 

• Proven recent residential remodeling sales experience (minimum 2 years).
• Comprehensive understanding of residential remodeling processes 
• Familiarity with JobTread or similar project management tools 
• Proficient skills in Google Suite 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Empathy and emotional intelligence 
• Strong team mentality 
• Effective task and time management 
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
• A results-oriented mindset 
• High energy with the ability to listen well and a glass-half-full attitude 
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving history for a company-provided vehicle

Preferred Qualifications 

• Ability to use emerging technologies that assist the selling process 
• Proven recent residential remodeling experience (5+ years) 
• Experienced in handling budgets, bid requests, change orders, and overcoming objections 
• Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, innovative, ability to take ownership of projects or initiatives

Working Conditions 

• The role involves remote work from home and on-site job locations 
• Essential physical requirements include but are not limited to climbing ladders and lifting materials weighing 25 pounds or more 
• Ability to self-manage a work calendar leaving time for team huddles and networking activities 
• Team-oriented, collaborative work environment 
• Working on weekends and evenings is discouraged

Salary and Benefits 

• Full-Time position 
• Compensation Range: $50,000 - 75,000 negotiable and based on experience
• Customizable pay scale options to suit your preference higher base or higher commission
