The Position 

The Assistant Project Manager role at Ohio Property Brothers offers a unique opportunity within our company. You'll assist in leading a specialized team, help manage projects under the Design-Build framework and learn subcontracting on independent projects. We're looking for a leader to expand this role into related ventures and train junior staff.

Responsibilities 

• Lead and manage specialized trade partners, ensuring high-quality execution of projects
• Identify growth opportunities and work alongside management to develop leaders in the field Oversee parts of production for residential remodeling projects 
• Serve as the secondary contact for customers and trade partners, ensuring the Project Manager/Superintendent is well-informed 
• Uphold company standards that exceed industry standards for quality, safety, and efficiency on-site 
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and exceed expectations
• Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and trade partners
• Address and resolve issues or delays, maintaining a smooth workflow 
• Foster a culture of innovation, efficiency, and excellence within your teams

Qualifications 

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in residential remodeling as a project manager, superintendent, working owner, or similar 
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate others around you.
• Familiarity with JobTread or similar project management software. 
• Proficient skills in Google Suite 
• Familiar with handling budgets, bid requests, and change orders 
• Excellent organizational and strategic planning abilities 
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving history for a company-provided vehicle

Preferred Qualifications 

• Degree in Construction Management, or a related field 
• Ability to use emerging technologies that assist the process of project management
• Proven residential remodeling experience (5+ years). 
• Experienced in handling budgets, bid requests, change orders, and overcoming objections 
• Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, innovative, ability to take ownership of projects or initiatives

Working Conditions 

• The role involves remote work from home and on-site job locations 
• Essential physical requirements include but are not limited to climbing ladders and lifting materials weighing 50 pounds or more 
• Ability to self-manage a work calendar leaving time for team huddles and networking activities 
• Team-oriented, collaborative work environment 
• Working on weekends and evenings is discouraged

Salary and Benefits 

• Full-Time position 
• Compensation Range: $50,000 - 75,000 negotiable and based on experience Customizable pay scale options to suit your preference higher base or higher commission
